Somenath Mukherjee (HOD)
Somenath Mukherjee completed his Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Calcutta and his Master’s degree from AYJNIHH (ERC), Kolkata, under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). He has worked as a Consultant Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist at Woodlands Hospital, Belle Vue Clinic, Peerless Hospital, and Apollo Hospitals, Kolkata, over a career spanning 20 years. In 2006, he, along with ten colleagues, founded Hearing Plus and Speech Plus.

Probir Karmakar
Probir is a qualified Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive clinical experience in assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of communication and swallowing disorders. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from AYJNIHH (ERC) under the University of Calcutta and the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). He has served as a Consultant at leading healthcare institutions, including KPC Medical College & Hospital, Ruby General Hospital, and Belle Vue Clinic. With advanced training in Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), he delivers evidence-based, family-centred care across pediatric and adult populations.

Mainak completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from AYJNIHH (ERC) under the University of Calcutta and the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS), respectively. After completing his Master’s program, he worked as an Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist at the Child Development Centre, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata. He is currently associated with Speech Plus as a Speech-Language Pathologist, helping individuals enhance their speech and language abilities with effective, evidence-based care.

Reshmi Banerjee
Reshmi completed her Bachelor’s degree from AYJNIHH (Kolkata) under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and her Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from AYJNIHH (Mumbai) under Mumbai University. She has worked as a Guest Lecturer at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, she is working as an Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist at Bengal Speech & Hearing Pvt. Ltd.

Kaberi Goswami
Kaberi completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from AYJNIHH (Kolkata), under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). She began her professional career as an Audiologist at Hearing Plus. Since 2016, she has been working as a Consultant Speech Therapist at Speech Plus. She is also associated with HP Ghosh Hospital, Salt Lake. Her key areas of clinical interest include Paediatric Dysphagia, Dysphagia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Articulation Disorders, Voice Disorders, Dysarthria, and Aphasia.

Chaitali Mukherjee
Chaitali completed her graduation in 2005. To expand her knowledge, she went on to complete a Diploma in Hearing, Language, and Speech (DHLS) in 2006. Since teaching was always a passion for her, she pursued her B.Ed. in Special Education in 2007 under the University of Calcutta, recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). She also completed a Diploma in Speech & Hearing from AYJNIHH, recognised by RCI. Later, she has completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MAPC). Her professional career began with Nabaprayas, where she worked as a Speech Therapist for children with special needs from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, she has been working at Bengal Speech and Hearing Pvt. Ltd. (Speech Plus) in Kolkata as an independent Special Educator.

Sounak completed his Bachelor's in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from AYJNIHH (ERC) under the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) in 2019. He is currently working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Speech Plus. Previously, he worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist at RSV Hospital and Belle Vue Clinic.
